As we celebrate National Volunteer Month, let's discuss building a new Friends of the Library group together with Library Director Al Schmidt Mickunas. This event is open to former Friends of the Library members as well as community members interested in learning about the new group. A short informative video will be shown from the American Library Association about the role of Friends groups at public libraries large and small across the U.S. The goal of this meeting will be to discuss how our community can serve current and future library initiatives through fund-raising and service-based opportunities. Snacks and light refreshments will be provided.
